LGTM structurally, but selftest is failing.

So, that's more complex than I initially expected.
And I'm unsure if we want to proceed with the change at the end, that's seems to be not worth the additional complexity.

• If we want to have editable builds with uv, we need to have a build-system ( source )
• hatch does not play well with prefixed packages
